Community Meals Program

Community Meal Programs are hosted by two local churches in Mt Clemens, First United Methodist Church and Zion Church.
These Churches graciously organize and use their facilities to feed those in the area that might need a warm meal.  That doesn't mean just those out on the streets -- it serves low income families -- it serves senior citizens on very tight budgets. Churches and other groups in the area are asked if they would assist them in this ministry and St. Louis does.

A few times a year our Christian Service Commission signs up to prepare and serve a meal at these neighboring churches.  Volunteers prepare the meal in the St. Louis Social Hall kitchen the day before and then serve the meal at one of the host churches facilities.  You don't have to be a member of the Christian Service Commission to be a Volunteer -- Any member of our Parish can help!
