Stewardship = We Give

As each one has received a gift,
use it to serve one another
as good stewards of God’s varied grace.
...in all things, God may be glorified.

Stewardship of Time & Talent
God has given spiritual gifts and natural talents to each believer. We received these Gifts of the Spirit through the Sacraments — each one building upon the next, until our strengths become usable for God’s Will.  These strengths are the specific ways in which you and I excel in the world. Sometimes, we think that because we aren’t creative or musically inclined that we don’t have a talent or strength, but that is far from the truth.

Strengths come in all sorts of disguises.  They can be things such as: good communication skills, empathy for others, love for learning, problem solving skills, being optimistic, good at planning, following instructions, being hospitable, knowing when to be quiet, knowing when to be LOUD, being responsible, the ability to count,  being carefree, being great at comforting people or even just being reliable.  Your strength doesn’t have to glitter and shine, but if you use your strengths wisely, you glorify God.

Now, we have been taught to be humble, and not boast about our talents and that still holds true.  When you use your gifts for yourself, you aren’t using them as God intended.  What we are asking you to do, is share those gifts with the faith community.
