INFANT BAPTISM
In the Sacrament of Baptism, we begin our life in Christ as members of the Catholic Church. Infant baptism is celebrated at weekend liturgies throughout the year with the exception of the season of Advent & Lent. Preparation begins with an interview with Clergy. Parents are encouraged to contact the parish before the child is born to begin the preparation process.
When thinking about the godparents you wish for your child, please keep the following in mind:
- 16 years of age or older.
- Have received the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation.
- Active and practicing member of the Catholic Church.
- Cannot be the child's parent.
CHILD BAPTISM
Unbaptised school age children can be enrolled in the RCIC process where they will be fully initiated - Baptism, First Eucharist and Confirmation - at the Easter Vigil. This process is in addition to regular attendance at Faith Formation classes. Arrangements are made with the Faith Formation Office.
ADULT BAPTISM
RCIA (Right of Christian Initiation for Adults):
Unbaptised adults are enrolled in the RCIA process where they will be fully initiated -- Baptism, First Eucharist and Confirmation -- at the Easter Vigil. Arrangements are made by calling the Faith Formation Office.
